We need people to take shirts. These were all successful- a BIG thanks to everyone that was a part of these!<br \/>\nb) State Convention is coming up. Some details:<br \/>\n-Key note speaker- Miss Colorado from last year.<br \/>\n-3 hour NCLEX review for free<br \/>\n-Mock interviews, resume help, etc. will be provided<br \/>\n-Taking collection for women\u2019s products here! Bring here or to convention.<br \/>\n-Delegates- we will need 6 or 7 of these! More information on this later.<br \/>\n-Can run for state board! Pre-slated or from the board.<br \/>\n-$75 for members $100 non-members. CONVENTION volunteers will be reimbursed by ANSA<br \/>\n-We will need volunteers to sell shirts (these will not be reimbursed)<br \/>\nReport of the Vice President<br \/>\na) Southridge community center is this month on the 24th! Playing BINGO, nail painting, Senior Olympics. Members get two card credits for attendance.<br \/>\nc) Take Back the Night is coming up- more on this from Grace<br \/>\nd) Amigo Cup will be October 8th. We need volunteers to take BP, etc. Sign up or let Natalie Mikles know if you would like to volunteer.<br \/>\ne) Art Show 6p-9p on November 5th. Non-profit organization to promote nursing in the state needs volunteers! Great place to network with nurses- sign up on sign-up sheet, OR contact Natalie Mikles if you are interested.<br \/>\nf) If you have any ideas, email us!<br \/>\ng) Arkansas Women\u2019s Outreach works with the homeless population. They need support! Collecting pads, underwear, wipes, depends, etc. Please bring these items! We can paint their nails, etc. from 1300-1500. Wear UCA T-shirts to this event. <\/p>\n<p>d) Will update later on Amigo cup (Oct. 8) <\/p>\n<p>e) First member meeting- will start giving points for attendance <\/p>\n<p>f) White coat ceremony this Saturday&#8230; selling T-shirts. Caitlin will speak in the beginning. Will go from 0900-1130ish. Sell lots of T-shirts there! Volunteers be there at 0830. <\/p>\n<p>g) Natalie and Caitlin will be at the counselors meeting&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>h) Nurse art event- 1800-1900 on November 5th at the Pleasant Valley country club. Tickets start at $25 for students, $30 for others. Courtney Steele is coming in November. Talking about her sepsis program and the VALOR program. <\/p>\n<p>    Aurora is coming for the October meeting. <\/p>\n<p>    Website is up&#8230; working on wrinkles. <\/p>\n<p>    Take Back the Night event- has spoken to several people. Just needs to register. Can do it on campus, in the city. UCA NSA can run it or just sponsor it. People from Reliance will sponsor (at least $200), etc. Maybe live music, donated food. October 22nd is the best date. Acxiom may sponsor&#8230; let\u2019s use our connections to get together a concert. Find a couple food trucks. Get sponsors (Conway Regional, nursing home). Find something to do monthly. We could do a t-shirt, why we are doing it, who we are, etc. Cait could get info about doing one from Jonesboro.<br \/>\nd) Monetary credit, cards, Vice in charge. No replacements.
