This blog developed from a conversation about better ways to tell the world about UCA Residential Colleges<\/a>. We thought it best to let the students do the talking. Posting for the next few weeks are students from every Residential College, topics range from academics to social engagement to how living in an RC has helped them grow as a person.<\/p>\n

Overview<\/h2>\n

The Residential College Program at UCA currently consists of five communities, each Residential College has a unique theme and character:<\/p>\n

Hughes Residential College<\/a> in Hughes Hall focuses on creating a community of student leaders through the Hughes Leadership Institute.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

EDGE Residential College<\/a>\u00a0 in State Hall approaches a Liberal Art education through the thematic lenses of global learning, community engagement, and study abroad.<\/p>\n

\"STARS\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The STARS Residential College<\/a> in Short\/Denney Hall brings together freshmen who are interested in “Living the Arts”. Courses and academic programs are designed to help students express themselves through different forms of art.<\/p>\n

\"STEM\"<\/a><\/p>\n

STEM Residential College<\/a> in Arkansas Hall provides a place for students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to live and learn together in an environment that fosters academic success.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

EPIC Residential College<\/a> in Bear Hall takes sophomore level and above students from all majors and brings them together in a collaborative environment that focuses on entrepreneurship and community engagement.<\/p>\n
