Computer Science and Cybersecurity Club

FAQs

Q: What is the CS/CSec club?
A: We’re a registered student organization for computer science and cybersecurity majors. We’re not just a way to make the most out of your CS or CSec degree, but a ticket to an awesome community of people who share common interests and are incredibly supportive of each other.

Q: When and where does the club meet?
A: We meet every Thursday from 1:40-2:30 in room 338 of the Math and Computer Science Building on UCA’s campus.

Q: What sort of events does the club host?
A: Local employers come to provide information about internships and job openings in the field; we host competitive programming and cybersecurity competitions; students present on topics of their choosing.

Q: How do I become a member?
A: You can join the clubs on UCA’s CubConnect application or just show up to a meeting! No formal membership is required to attend meetings and participate in events.

Q: How do I find an internship?
A: While each student is ultimately responsible for securing their own internship, we try to make it easier by hosting local employers at club meetings for students to connect with! We also help students with their resumes and interview prep, and the UCA Career Fairs are a great way to find the right internship for you.
